Water and waste
Interserve serves the water industry through the delivery of clients’ capital programmes and all types of complex projects. Our skills cover the complete range of water abstraction, treatment and supply through to waste water collection treatment and disposal.
We provide a comprehensive range of asset management services, covering not only asset creation and delivery, but also asset operation and maintenance together with renewal and refurbishment. We offer a national service and continue to work with most of the major water companies and the water – only supply companies and well as industrial clients.
Flood alleviation works are an important part of our workload and we hold a position on the Environment Agency National Contractors Framework (NCF2) for “core works” projects throughout England and Wales.
We offer bespoke solutions to this expanding market via our team of dedicated specialists. Through partnering and strategic alliances, we are able to offer a number of effective process solutions for handling municipal waste.
Drawing on many years’ experience of the PFI/PPP market, we offer a complete and comprehensive package that includes investment, design and construction through to management of asset operation and maintenance over the long-term.
Our previous experience in this sector includes design and construction of a major Energy from Waste Facility in Birmingham. This 26,000m² building included receiving hall, refuse bunker, main boiler house, transformer facility, control rooms and ancillary facilities.
Within the municipal waste market, we have also undertaken projects for local authorities around the UK. Examples include civil engineering and building works on a Materials Recycling Facility for Exeter City Council and the design and construction of infrastructure on a Civil Amenity Site at Portishead, Avon. For Surrey Waste Management, the Charlton Lane Waste Transfer Station project involved design and construction of a new refuse transfer facility.
